Mack Behind the Pack
Mack Knight
Hey There! My name is Mack, sole-owner and operator at Mack Pack Run! My story began with dogs, and I'll be damned if it doesn't end with them. I quite literally don't know life without having a four-legged companion by my side. From being raised alongside dogs since I was 2-months old, to owning my own pack of dogs (up to 4 at a time), to working with Military Working Dogs during my deployment to Iraq - I have finally started living my dream of "working" with dogs all day! Working is in quotes, because as they say - if you enjoy what you do, you'll never work a day in your life!

Military Experience
I proudly served this Nation for 14 years as a Combat Medic with the Wisconsin Army National Guard. During my combat tour to Iraq, I worked closely with the Veterinarian on our staff to provide medical care to the MWDs in our Area of Operation. From assisting with routine check ups to providing emergent care, I've gained the necessary experience to develop a trained eye to injuries/illnesses and the composure necessary to assist animals in need. Not to mention, learning how to read - and play! - with the most headstrong breeds who are entrusted with protecting our freedoms! Rest assured, that experience has guided me to think of every possible measure to mitigate risk while your loved one is in my care.
Personal Experience
I truly need more fingers and toes to count the number of dogs I've personally managed and cared for in my 30 years of life. I've owned many different breeds - Lab-mixes, Scottish Terriers, Shi-tzus, Corgis, Cattle Dogs... but my favorite? Bully Breeds. They can be stubborn, headstrong, and challenging. But absolutely nothing beats the strong, loyal, and loving bond of a Pittie! I may have learned leadership skills while serving, but I've learned far more from caring for and unconditionally loving numerous, high-energy and stubborn breeds. Which is how I became introduced to slat-mills. When walking for miles, playing fetch and/or tug for hours a day just didn't cut it, I turned to a treadmill to allow my dog to unleash their primal drive. Not only did I see physical health benefits, but the mental clarity and confidence boost in my dogs shifted our bond to a whole new level!

Why Structured Running Matters
At Mack Pack Run, we know that a tired dog is a happy dog — and for many pups, a quick walk just doesn’t cut it. High-energy, anxious, or easily overstimulated dogs often need a structured outlet to stay balanced, calm, and healthy. Our mobile, self-propelled treadmill sessions are designed to meet your dog where they’re at — physically and mentally — giving them the freedom to move at their own pace while benefiting from guided, individualized attention. Whether you’re dealing with behavior issues, a packed schedule, or limited space, we bring expert-level exercise right to your door.
Why Run With Mack Pack?
Busy Schedule? We've got you.
Life gets hectic — we get it. Between work, errands, and everything else on your plate, it’s hard to give your dog the consistent, high-intensity exercise they crave. Our mobile service lets you check one more thing off your to-do list without sacrificing your dog’s needs. Book a treadmill run, and we’ll take care of the rest — while you get some well-earned time back.
For Dogs Who Don’t Do Well in Public
Not every dog is cut out for the dog park or daycare. If your pup is leash-reactive, selective with other dogs, or gets overwhelmed in busy environments, our sessions offer a calm, controlled alternative. Because runs are one-on-one and right outside your home, your dog gets focused stimulation without the chaos — helping them build confidence, burn energy, and stay regulated.
Preparation for Life
Planning a road trip or heading out of town? A well-exercised dog makes for a smoother ride and a calmer stay. Planning to have family and friends over later? Let's run out all that energy for a warmer "Welcome!" Have a vet visit that your dog isn't too jazzed about? Does your dog need a nail trim, and you need them to be a little more Zen before getting started? Has your vet mentioned anything about your dogs' weight? Are you concerned about their strength and mobility as they age? Running your dog is a simple step that can make a big difference in your dog’s life: from improvement in behavior and mood to preparing them for a higher quality of life as they age - We have your back.
